"Oblomov’s philosophical sofa"

In the square at the corner of Goncharov and Lenin streets, just opposite the house where the author was born, a memorial symbol, dedicated to I.A.Goncharov and the character of his novel I.I.Oblomov- “Oblomov’s philosophical sofa”-was set up in Ulyanovsk in 2005. Since 2006 “Oblomov’s festivals” have been taking place at the "Oblomov’s philosophical sofa".
